The Recreation Rooms
We recently held a competition for our newsletter subscribers for the best case study. We said that the entry with the best write up and pictures would be featured on our website as well as winning a prize!
So now you can read firsthand the experience of others. Not our words, but theirs! Here’s our competition winner…
”In 2017 I took on a huge investment as a small business owner and bought an old 1950s Methodist Chapel in Leighton Buzzard. My plan was to convert it into a space for my theatre school and to let it out to other local groups from fitness classes to playgroups and clubs, including the community for parties and events.
As we all know, buying older buildings is a little bit of a mine field! We started renovating the building, making it a more workable space and discovered many issues with this tired place of worship – one being a very old 1970s strip bar heating system!
We opened on 28 October of the same year with a group of regular hirers – yoga, Pilates, a childrens playgroup and a small church group – not forgetting my theatre school. The building hadn’t seen so much action in all its life – nor had the heating! Week after week as we went deeper into the winter months, the hirers complained more and more about how cold it was in the hall. Week after week another one of the heating bars would drop out and stop working! It wasn’t an ideal start to a new business!
I had to do something quickly but didn’t know where to begin. So, like we all do, I started Googling! I searched “best electrical heating options” I must have spent hours scrawling through loads of different companies with so many different products out there, I was confused and not any closer to making a decision. That’s when I stumbled across Warm4less and infrared heating!
From the get go, the service and detail was excellent. I dealt with George who made me feel valued as a customer and was eager to rectify my bad situation. I got quotes from the recommended three companies with different products and though Warm4less weren’t the cheapest the product spoke for itself – heating surfaces and people not just heating a void of space – a much more efficient way of heating. It was also the most aesthetically pleasing to fit in with the decor and style of the building. I was adamant not to have the glowing orange heaters looming above the hirers heads, potentially singeing the hirers hair!
The heating bars were installed with wireless wall mounted digital thermostats and my stress literally melted away! The timer on the devise meant that the heating wasn’t accidentally left on over night, should a hirer forget to turn it off and my electricity bills dropped considerably.
More to the point – I now have happy clients who are toasty and warm! They now complain it is too warm! I mean, you can’t please some people, can you?
Thank you Warm4less. ”
