Infrared Combats Draughts!

Recently at Warm4less we had a couple come to us with the need of heating. It was for the two front rooms of their house. After upgrading their windows they found both rooms were still be bitterly cold.

Being an old ‘manse’, the real issue was the old floorboards led directly to two air vents on the front of the house. With zero insulation.

They called up and discussed with us their problem and budget. From here we were able to come up with a solution for them.

Products Used

In the first room, a 960 W Circles and Squares Panel was wall mounted controlled by a ‘White Sapphire‘ programmable room thermostat. In the second room, 2 x 750 Watt Ceiling White Panels evenly placed apart either side of the light fitting, again connected to a ‘White Sapphire’.

With the use of infrared they were able to feel the heat directly from the panels in a reasonable amount of time. The IR system also keep installation costs to a minimum.

The Benefits

The heat emitted from the panels is the same that is emitted from the sun. Although the sun is very far away, we can still feel its heat on cold days. This is because the heat is released upon contact, warming the room and its occupants directly.

After a couple of weeks of having the panels we got in touch and asked what they thought of the panels in their new home. They were over the moon with the panels and what a difference they made! Below is an email from the homeowners showing their delight with the panels so far.
