Ceiling Mount – Save wall space
A customer approached our company for advice on a large dining/sitting room.
There were a number of issues to consider.
- Large quantities of glass (Bifold doors)
- Heat escaping when the doors are opened
- Lack of wall space
- Major intrusive work to extend the existing wet pipe system
- Budget
We proposed a ceiling mounted far infrared heating system. Ultimately, this scheme worked perfectly.
The main reason for the success of this installation is the difference between convection heating and heating an area using far infrared technology. Traditional convection heating heats the air and leads to national convection currents – so when a door or window is opened the build up of heat is lost.
However far infrared heats the fabric of the building and thermal mass and is them reemitted.
By installing on the ceiling no wall space was required and the installation was far less intrusive. The end result was a satisfied contractor with a happy client and a job completed on a budget.
