Picture Panel in a Retirement Flat
At the beginning of the year a customer approached us to find a heating solution for his elderly mother who lived in a retirement flat.
The main issues with the heaters already installed in the flat was the high running costs and the fact that the client’s mother was always struggling with the thermostat controls and would forget when to turn the heaters on and off, resulting in the flat often being cold.
Because of the aesthetic of the flat, our client wanted something that would blend in with his mother’s surroundings and would be subtle. Because of this, we recommend our picture panels and he decided upon our Green Forest image as this seemed to fit best.
The next step was deciding which controller to recommend as it needed to be able to control both the temperature and times that she would like. However, it would need to be easy to use especially when the day lost or gained an hour. We decided upon our One Click – RF Wireless Heating Thermostat as this is relatively simple to operate, and once programmed it requires no further attention. It also meant that the stat was a separate component to the plug so that the client’s mother could keep the stat wherever she preferred.
Once the panel was delivered, it was mounted on the wall and the cable to the plug was concealed with trunking. When it came time to program the controller, the client called in and was assisted by our knowledgeable technical team who helped her set the programming for the heater. Shortly after we received a call saying the heating had come on for its first time period and they were thrilled!
