Do infrared heaters have thermostats?

Most of our heaters feature inbuilt controllers including our Platinum range, Eco range, Lumina range, ceiling panels and picture panels to allow for convenient controls. The Platinum range of wall and ceiling heaters utilises this by connecting to the handheld remote, which acts as your temperature sensor, and then pairing to the SmartLife app. From here, you have full control over the timing and temperatures of each room which can be done anywhere with a Wi-Fi signal. The handheld remote can also be used to adjust your settings at any given time and must be kept near the unit.
The Eco range completely utilises the remote control through the handheld battery-operated remote by offering 3 simple methods of control to suit your preference. These being manual, weekday and weekends separate, or all 7 days different. You can read more about this in our user manuals on the relevant product listings.
Some of the heaters we offer do not come with inbuilt controllers, but for ranges like these, we offer a really wide range of separate controllers. We always recommend having a controller alongside your infrared panel for multiple reasons. One such reason is that it means that you can micromanage your heating system. We usually recommend having one controller per room or ‘zone’. This then means you can program each room to be on at a specific time, sometimes down to the minute! For example, you can program your bathroom and kitchen to be on for one hour in the morning while you get ready for work. Then your living room and kitchen on for a few hours in the evening for when you get home. This means that you are only heating rooms that you are occupying which saves money on running costs. Having everything preprogrammed also means that there is no fear of leaving heaters on by accident. It eliminates the need to remember to turn your heaters off when you leave the room.
Having a controller means that you can monitor the temperature of the room down to 0.5°C at any one time. All of the controllers we offer show the current temperature of that room, as well as the set temperature. It will indicate when the panel is on and working to get up to your set temperature and will then turn off once your temperature has been achieved.
